About Me

I have over twenty years of experience as a mathematics professor, having spent the last sixteen years on the faculty of Salem State University, an HSI in Massachusetts. My professional interests include data science, ring theory, inquiry-based learning and engaging more people in the beauty of mathematics. My desire to engage with individuals from diverse backgrounds has led me to teaching positions at universities in Egypt and Indonesia. Additionally, I spent a sabbatical in 2016-2017 as a Fulbright Scholar at the University of Jordan, furthering my commitment to global mathematics education. I was a 2023-2025 AAAS Science & Technology Policy Fellow, working at the NSF.
